A very big bodied and very powerful sounding bouzouki. Surely not an instrument for the faint hearted or the small handed among us, but definitely a wonderful tone.
The mandola, Octave Mandolin, Octave Mandola and Tenor Mandola to name but a few.
Another new additon to the growing mando-family. This long scale mandolin is now a permanent part of Andys live set and a very lovely addition it is too.
Andy Irvine is probably the most famous mandolin player in Irish Music, through his work with Sweeney's men, Planxty and his solo work.
