Andy Irvine is not only a great voice, and a great musician but also a great song writer. This section is aimed at giving an insight into some of his wonderful songs and compositions, that have simply charmed and amazed the world.

This is where all you great musicians, bouzouki, and mandolin players get a chance to shine too. I would like to hear from anyone who can contribute tab to this section.

If you would like to explain a bit about it too, or an insight into his style of playing, feel free. Andy has a long history of some fantastic tunes and I would love to hear how you play them. I am simply not as good a musician as I wish to be or should be by now, so I will leave this section up to the experts...............you !

It is so difficult to have a favorite Andy Irvine song, each one has some thing magical about it. Here are some of the best songs your ears will ever hear.

Andy has long been credited for introducing Balkan music to Ireland. This is my favorite section, and very powerful section of his music.

This section will cover jigs, reels, etc of some of the tunes that Andy has made so famous over the years.

The Irish Bouzouki is one of the most important new instruments in Irish music. It has been pioneered by players like Andy Irvine, Donal Lunny and Johnny Moynihan since the late 60's. This section will explore some of those playing styles and develpoments.

These tunes are here for your enjoyment only. I have given credit to those who have helped and to where the tunes came from, when I know. If you know of a better version, or of a tune that has been recorded by Andy and his many bands I would love to hear from you. I am more interested in the Andy Irvine version than the traditional one. If you have yourself learnt some of the fancy bits, intro or complete tunes sung by Andy.........................................we would all be very interested in seeing them !
